Brook Andrew Limited Edition: Systems of Substance 2016

ACCA is pleased to announce a newly commissioned Limited Edition artwork by leading Australian artist Brook Andrew, to coincide with ACCA’s inaugural Big Picture Summer Series exhibition, Sovereignty. This major exhibition focuses on contemporary art of First Nations peoples of South East Australia, to celebrate culturally and linguistically diverse narratives of self-determination, identity, sovereignty and resistance.

Based on recent archival research conducted at the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris, and his recent photographic trips to country Australia, Brook Andrew’s Systems of Substance 2016 includes seven newly commissioned digital photo-montages presented and viewed through an accompanying stereoscopic viewer.
